Half the Size, Twice the Story

X half is optimized for vertical composition — the way we naturally shoot on smartphones — but with the charm and depth of a dedicated camera. Its unique 2-in-1 mode lets you creatively combine two vertical images (or videos) into one frame, offering a new narrative tool for visual storytelling.

Create combinations like:

Use the Frame Advance Lever or the X half app to easily switch modes and manage your creative combinations.

1-Inch Sensor, Distinct Look

X half features a 1-inch sensor, a first for the X Series, paired with a fixed 32mm-equivalent prime lens  This combination delivers high-resolution images with a distinct depth and character, ideal for everything from street to lifestyle photography.

Autofocus is fast and responsive, with Face and Eye Detection for portraits, and a manual focus ring for precision when needed.

Film Camera Mode

Reignite your creative spark with Film Camera Mode, a digital experience that replicates the magic of shooting analog.

1. Activate: Choose a Film Simulation on the sub-LCD, then swipe down to enable Film Camera Mode. Select a roll length of 36, 54, or 72 frames.
2. Viewfinder-Only Shooting: Rear LCD is disabled; compose exclusively through the viewfinder. Advance to the next frame manually using the lever, just like with film.
3. Develop Your Roll: Once complete, transfer your roll to the X half app, where images are processed and saved to your phone.
4. Digital Contact Sheet: A full contact sheet is created for each roll, letting you relive every frame, even the imperfect ones that complete the story.

You can cancel Film Camera Mode at any time. All taken images can still be transferred to the app.

2-in-1 Creativity

In just a few taps, transform vertical shots into 2-in-1 compositions. Select two images or clips, swap their positions, and customize the dividing line’s color and size. Share a layered story: two angles, two emotions, one frame.

The X half app also serves as your personal gallery, offering two background colors and six frame styles to display your creations with a unique personal touch.
