FUJIFILM X-E5 blends classic rangefinder-inspired design with the most advanced imaging technology of the X Series, creating a modern camera that honors tradition while pushing creative possibilities forward.

At its core, X-E5 is powered by the fifth-generation 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and X-Processor 5, delivering exceptional image quality with enhanced resolution, low noise, and fast performance. The sensor’s improved light efficiency enables a standard ISO 125, previously only available as an extended setting, and ensures outstanding results even in low-light conditions.

Despite its compact form, X-E5 introduces in-body image stabilization (IBIS) to the X-E series for the first time, offering up to 7.0 stops of compensation at the center and 6.0 stops at the periphery. It’s a powerful yet lightweight camera designed for photographers on the move—whether capturing everyday moments or tackling challenging lighting conditions.

X-E5 features a top-plate machined from a single block of aluminum, providing both premium aesthetics and functional durability. Its anodized finish offers a refined, high-quality look, while the tactile controls and angular silhouette stay true to its analog roots.

The newly developed Film Simulation Dial allows quick access to any of the 20 Film Simulation modes, including the latest REALA ACE. Three customizable positions (FS1–FS3) allow photographers to save and instantly apply their own film simulation “recipes,” streamlining creative workflows.

Attention to detail defines the entire design: the diopter adjustment and viewfinder are flush with the body, and even the Bluetooth button on the base plate is styled to resemble a traditional film rewind lever.

The X-E5’s rangefinder-style body allows for one-handed operation, with conveniently placed dials and a front command lever. The new Classic Display mode (EVF only) presents a clean viewfinder layout with key shooting information at the bottom, keeping distractions to a minimum and allowing for deeper immersion in the moment.

The Surround View Mode, accessed via the front control lever, displays a semi-transparent outline around the EVF frame, mimicking an optical viewfinder. This makes it easier to anticipate action just outside the frame—perfect for street and documentary photography.

Equipped with a new autofocus prediction algorithm and deep learning AI subject detection, X-E5 delivers fast, reliable tracking for a wide range of subjects. The system can automatically detect and track:
